Community Think Tank: Supporting Inclusion through Intergenerational Partnerships

March 27, 2020
NOTICE: Community Think Tank Cancelled
The Schlegel-UW Research Institute for Aging (RIA) is committed to protecting the health and safety of our team, partners and the community.
We have been monitoring the COVID-19 situation closely and after much review and consideration, the RIA has decided to cancel the SIIP Community Think Tank in the best interest of all involved.
The Think Tank remains an important community engagement opportunity for the SIIP project, which is why this decision was not made lightly. The decision was based on a thorough risk assessment of the event, based on Public Health Agency of Canada’s risk assessment tool, the increasing number of confirmed cases of COVID-19 and most importantly, the duty we have to ensure the safety and protection of our team, partners and the community.
We will be reaching out in the coming weeks with more information about a new date for this event.
The RIA would like to apologize for any inconvenience this cancellation may cause to you.
More than that, we would like to thank you for your understanding and your patience. This was a tough decision – but the right one and we are grateful for your ongoing commitment to the RIA and our mission to enhance life for older adults everywhere.
Thank you,
Josie d’Avernas, Executive Director, the RIA
