| November 19, 2025 | Dr. Al Power | The Well-Being Case Conference Approach In this session, Dr. Allen Power will give a didactic overview showing how a well-being framework can provide a strengths-based, proactive approach to supporting people living with dementia and help decode distress. We invite the submission of a challenging case scenario from one of the ECHO participants, and will lead breakout groups through the process. |
| December 10, 2025 | Michelle Daniel, CEO Eden Alternative | The ROI of Culture Change: Implementing a Person-Centred Approach to Care This presentation explores the return on investment (ROI) of adopting the Eden Alternative approach to person-centred care in senior care settings. It challenges the traditional medical model and advocates for a new approach that can lead to improved resident outcomes, increased staff engagement, and reduced turnover. The presentation will provide a high-level overview of the Eden Alternative approach, discuss ROI findings, and offer actionable steps for senior living settings. |
| January 14, 2026 | Jessica Luh Kim, Mary Beth Wighton | StrengthsSHIFT: Reframing Care and Support Through a Strengths-Based Lens In this session, Mary Beth Wighton and Jessica Luh Kim will introduce the StrengthsSHIFT framework – a practical, five-step approach to shifting from deficit-based to strengths-based thinking in dementia care and support. Grounded in both lived and professional experience, this session will explore how focusing on strengths can transform relationships, practice, and well-being. Participants will reflect on real-world examples and discuss how applying a strengths lens can support sustainable culture change in their own settings. |
| February 11, 2026 | Bahar Karimi, Thrive Group | Transforming Long-Term Care: Optimal Models of Leadership, Clinical Practice, and Care Culture change in long-term care begins with courage—the courage to reimagine how we lead, care, and serve. In this session, we will share Thrive Group’s transformation journey, introducing three interconnected models that put people at the heart of everything we do: an Optimal Model of Leadership Practices that empowers and uplifts teams, an Optimal Model of Clinical Practice that integrates the strengths of RNs, NPs, RPNs, and physicians to ensure high-quality, person-centred care, and an Optimal Model of Care and Service that embraces residents’ voices, dignity, and quality of life. Together, these models create a thriving community where residents, staff, and families flourish. Participants will leave with inspiration and practical strategies to spark culture change in their own homes. |
