Gert Hartmann is retiring from the RIA

February 15, 2022

Gert Hartmann, RIA’s director of business development and community partnerships, will be retiring on February 25, 2022 after 8 years with the organization. Her retirement will allow her to spend more time supporting her soon-to-be 98 year old father and family.

In the past few RIA holiday letters, Gert has shared her personal journey caring for her dad as he transitioned to living with her during the pandemic. She understands first hand the value of the RIA and has been able to and will continue to use the resources developed.

“It was not an easy decision to retire from the RIA, the team and the partners who I’ve enjoyed working with for many years. During my time here I have learned much and this is helping me better support my dad,” said Gert. “I will stay connected with the RIA and look forward to seeing how the RIA influences the changes needed in our sector.”

Gert has been a key part of the RIA’s success over the past several years, leading many successful fundraising campaigns and building strong partnerships with the community. Gert has also provided leadership to the Supporting Inclusion through Intergenerational Partnerships (SIIP) project, supporting it’s growth and success. The RIA is forever grateful for all of her contributions to propel our mission and enhance quality of life for older adults. She will be greatly missed by the team, and we wish her all the best.
