We are saddened to hear that Safieddin (Ali) Safavi-Naeini, RIA research scientist and Professor in Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Waterloo, has passed away. He was recognized globally for his contributions to electromagnetics and wireless technology and our team was always inspired by his visionary work. He will be missed and we send our sincere condolences to his family and all those who had the pleasure of working with and learning from him.
