One Day: Person-Centred Culture, Making a Difference Every Day

Topics: Culture Change, Workforce Development

Coming September 2023! One Day is a virtual training to equip team members to nurture a person-centred care approach in their care provision, with a focus on actionable steps so learners are empowered to start making positive changes immediately. This interactive workshop is perfect for both new and experienced team members in senior living settings.

The training highlights residents’ perspectives and uses reflection and change management tools, guided by a framework, to equip learners with the confidence, motivation and practical skills to elevate their approach to care and support.

Why One Day?

  • The education is unique because it was co-developed with people living and working in senior living settings, and subject matter experts in education, facilitation and culture change.
  • The course is action-focused: Learners will identify four ways to immediately implement a person-centred approach to care in their work and two ways to share this knowledge with their team.

“Information provided will help me be the best for all of my residents and team members. I love the fact that all professions are able to pull from the resources provided to implement into care plans throughout homes.”  -Recreation Aide

“I like that the modules look at the person-centred care focusing on the elements of care, support for that individual on a whole and the treatment that matters most to the individual.” – Personal Support Worker
