Email Eric Hedge Academic Profile
Eric Hedge is an integrative physiologist, specializing in studying the cardiorespiratory and vascular adaptations to exercise, inactivity, and aging. Eric’s recent work has focused on understanding why brain blood flow increases during exercise, and why some people are unable to maintain brain blood flow while standing, leading to syncope and falls. He has also completed two prolonged bed rest studies aimed at understanding how prolonged inactivity leads to rapid, “aging-like” cardiovascular changes.
