Hao Luo

Hao Luo is an Assistant Professor in the School of Public Health Sciences at the University of Waterloo and a Docent in Statistics at Uppsala University. She is an interRAI Fellow whose research leverages large-scale electronic health records, administrative health data, and linked population-based databases to advance understanding of aging, mental health, and health service utilization. Drawing on multinational real-world data from diverse healthcare systems, her work examines the risk factors, trajectories, and outcomes of major health conditions, including multimorbidity and dementia. Through the application of advanced analytical methods, Dr. Luo develops risk stratification tools and predictive models that support clinical decision-making, health system planning, and the delivery of more targeted, data-informed care.
