Learn More

The Experiential Learning in Long-Term Care Guidebook was developed to support long-term care (LTC) or retirement homes and secondary schools in establishing meaningful and impactful partnerships to create experiential learning placements for students, including cooperative education and Specialist High Skills Major (SHSM) placements.

The guidebook explains why experiential learning such as co-ops are important in LTC, and outlines the benefits these opportunities offer for secondary school students, LTC residents and team members, and the broader LTC sector.
