This guide is a user-friendly resource to help team members in retirement and long-term care homes understand the traditions and practices of six major religions: Buddhism, Christianity, Hinduism, Islam, Judaism and Sikhism.

The guide provides a short description of each religion and its major beliefs, including a summary of holidays and holy days, as well as practical tips about caring for residents when they are sick or nearing the end of life. Prayers that are generally accepted within each religion are also included.
